The food was good, flavor was fantastic in all aspects down to the fresh table bread. Things were generally well cooked, particularly the perfectly cooked simple green beans, though the cod was chewy in the middle. Overall was worth trying and would visit the chef's other restaurant. They did extremely well considering the massive amount of people who visited in the final days. It was impressive that quality did not seem to be sacrificed.

I was lucky enough to have eaten dinner at this Astoria institution tonight one more tome before it shutters its doors for good. As always, the food was delicious and the service terrific. The atmosphere and staff are always friendly and inviting, and Chef Rocco always makes his guests feel welcome. My "last supper" (just for now because the new location on the UES will be open soon!) I had the fennel salad, lobster and seafood pasta special, and the semi freddo for dessert... why not go out with a bang? Looking forward to dining at the new location across the river in the near future!

Love this place! I had my communion party here YEARS ago and I've been coming back ever since. Food is very tasty.

Overall, this is a good Italian restaurant with fair prices. I ordered the eggplant parm. I want to say that I have issues with eggplant parm generally (the eggplant never stays crisp due to the heavy sauce/cheese application), and although this rendition wasn't crispy, it was flavorful enough. I wiped my plate, and mopped up the sauce with the bread. The pasta was eh, but since it was a side, I can forget it. The service was good despite how busy it was, and the restaurant was beautiful. The food overall was a 3.5/5, but with the service/ambiance, I bump it to a 4/5. We'd all come back to celebrate more birthdays! Thanks team.

Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.

This place cooks up delicious food and has a beautiful dining space. Above all, their service really shines. I was blown away by how attentive the staff is!

I had the most wonderful experience at Trattoria L'incontro, a Michelin star Italian restaurant located in Queens. I recently went there for a date, and let me tell you, it was absolutely lovely. Since it was a special occasion, I decided to order something simple and light, and I must say, I made the right choice. I couldn't resist trying their Costata Corta, which consisted of braised short ribs over polenta. It was an absolute delight! The short ribs were incredibly tender and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the creamy and delicious polenta. It was a truly decadent dish that left me wanting more. Now, let's talk about dessert. Initially, I didn't see anything on the menu that caught my eye. However, when I mentioned to our friendly waiter that I was hoping for an olive oil cake, he surprised us by saying they had it available. And oh my goodness, it was one of the best olive oil cakes I've ever tasted! It was moist, rich, and had just the right amount of sweetness. It was the perfect ending to our fantastic dinner. I must say that the staff at Trattoria L'incontro was exceptional. They were incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure that our dining experience was nothing short of amazing. Their warm and welcoming demeanor added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Next time I visit, I am definitely going to explore more of their menu. The Bronzino antipasto and pasta sound absolutely tempting, and I can't wait to try them. I have no doubt that Trattoria L'incontro will continue to impress me with their delicious food and outstanding service.

We had a party of eight in the group and tried to find a place that would take the entire group. They accommodated us on a Saturday night at 9:15pm. I'm grateful to them for taking a last-minute reservation. They were super busy, and the entire place was bustling. Once you walk in, there's a bunch of awards that they won, placed all over the walls and tables. I'm shocked that I've never been there before or heard of the place. But glad that I went. There were limited things that people could eat in the group, so this place fit for all the meat eaters + vegetarians. We ordered many appetizers for the table, such as the Octopus Salad called Polpo Alla Brace it had grilled Octopus with olive oil and balsamic vinegarette I got the special, which was not on the menu. The special consisted of seafood pasta, which had linguini with shrimp, lobster tail, mussels, and clams in red marinara sauce. All in all, everything from the service to the food was amazing.
